radiant heating

Lafayette Radiant heating is a technology, used for heating indoor as well as outdoor areas. Lafayette Radiant heating consists of ‘radiant energy’ that is converted into heat for providing warmth to your house.

Types of Lafayette Radiant Heating

There are generally four types of Lafayette radiant heat including- Underfloor heating, wall heating, ceiling heating and over- head heating. You will generally find the wall heating and ceiling heating in homes. Besides this ceiling heating is also used in warehouses as well as large factories.

As far as UNDERFLOOR HEATING is concerned, it is comparatively a newer technology and is very useful in producing cosy heat under concrete and asphalt.

This is the reason, why it is installed under driveways in order to keep them away from snow and ice during the winter season.

Except the over- head heating, almost all types of Lafayette radiant heating works in the similar fashion.

Function of Lafayette Radiant Heating

The Lafayette radiant heat functions via pipes that are placed below the surface of wall, floor or ceiling. All the pipes are low- insulated rubber, filled with electric coil that is attached directly to the generator.

The electric energy starts producing heat, when the generated is powered on. This is because the coils begin to heat up and emitting out through the pipes inserted below the floor, wall or ceiling.

The piping is responsible for covering the entire area of the ceiling, wall or floor and the heat keeps the overall temperature of the pipes relatively low. There are many cases when a pipe works in accordance to hot water or steam, instead of working through electricity. But you won’t find such cases in the modern radiant heating devices like electrical underfloor heating systems.

Through radiant heat, you can actually maintain easy as well as effective heating solution. But it is always penetrable to compromise. This is because if a surface that produces radiant heat is leaked, it will not only damage your heating system, but can also cause you with serious injury.

Apart from this, other benefits of the latest heating devices is that, they are hidden and doesn’t occupy much space of your house.

Lafayette Over head heaters

This is the most unique type of Lafayette radiant heating system, as it works through heat that is produced from a tightly wrapped metal coil through a wire.

Apart from this, there are some types of over head heating systems that generate their heat through gas powered flame.

Here the heat source is covered by a metal umbrella which is known as a mushroom top that heads the heat down and out.

Installing the Lafayette radiant heating devices

The Lafayette radiant heating devices can be installed anywhere in the house, but in order to install these devices properly you must avail a professionals help. This will not only ensure you with proper installation, but is also safe.
